No Longer Orphans

Matt recently had the joy of attending the dedication of the New Testament in the Mato language, which is the language right next to the Nukna language where we work. Translators Scot and Cherie Stober have been living and working with the Mato for over 20 years, learning the language, studying the culture, developing an alphabet, teaching people to read in their own language, and translating God’s Word. Now, as the day of the dedication finally arrived, it was time to celebrate the amazing things God had done and was doing among the Mato, and to rejoice that the Word of God was available in the Mato language for the first time! Many Nukna people hiked down from the mountains to join Matt and witness the dedication. It was a encouragement to us as we continue to persevere in the translation of the Nukna New Testament – our hard work will not be in vain! Check out the above video to see and hear the inspiring story of the Mato people – orphans no longer!
