In our last update, we shared that Wycliffe had determined we needed an additional $1350 per month before we would be cleared to return to Papua New Guinea. We’re excited to share that one-third of this need has been met through the generosity of partners like you. Would you join us in praying for the additional $900 per month of regular support that we need for our Bible translation ministry? I don’t know about you, but asking for money is pretty much rock bottom on our list of favorite things to do – it makes us feel pretty uncomfortable! But we know that God has asked us to trust Him for all of our needs, and we also know that He has given us an amazing team of partners and supporters who pray for us and give sacrificially so that the work of Bible translation can move forward. Thank you to every one of you for your many faithful years of prayer and support!
Our home in PNG, at the translation center in Ukarumpa, is showing its age (it was built in the 1960s) and has deteriorated over the years of our ministry with Wycliffe to the point that we need to replace the roof. The metal roof is rusting badly and may start leaking soon. We also need to replace our metal water tank, which holds our only supply of drinking water. It is also very old and the bottom is in danger of rusting through. We’ve gotten an estimate to fix these issues, and the need is $8,000. This house makes the Bible translation work we do possible, and by giving to this need, you will be enabling the continued translation of the Nukna Scriptures. Please prayerfully consider partnering with our Wycliffe ministry in the form of a one-time gift.
